Lifelong learning puts your dog at the head of the class
Classes are a great way to teach your dog new behaviors and reinforce existing ones. And we make school fun—for both dogs and the humans who love them!
A to Z Dog Training schedules a series of classes throughout the year. All classes require that your dog has approval from your veterinarian to be in a class and is current on all vaccinations, including DHLPP and Bordetella.
Puppy Kindergarten is the single best thing you can do for your puppy! Your puppy will learn to socialize off leash and you’ll learn how to train her to stop problem behaviors such as house soiling, nipping, chewing, jumping, barking, and tons more. It’s not too early to teach her to sit, come and lie down. So come prepared to learn! All classes include a written outline of behaviors taught and our Problem Solving Booklet. Upon graduation your puppy will earn their AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Certification (cost included in fee).
Requirements: Puppies must be 14-24 weeks of age (some exceptions made) and have completed 4 sets of vaccinations which includes: Distemper, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, Hepatitis, Bordetella
When can I join the fun? Class is open enrollment, you can join as soon as your puppy has all their vaccinations.
Location, Time, and Day? Waimanalo at 12:15 on Saturdays
This class is designed for new dog owners or owners who would like to brush up on your dogs skills, and can also be taken by graduates of our Puppy Kindergarten. You will learn how to curtail problem behaviors such as digging, jumping, separation anxiety, leash pulling, and more. You will learn to train behaviors such as stay, come, and heel. All classes include a written outline of behaviors taught and our Problem Solving Booklet.
Requirements: All dogs must be current with their vaccinations which include: Distemper, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, Hepatites, Bordetell
When can I join the fun? Class is open enrollment, you can join us as soon as your dog has all their vaccinations.
Location, Time, and Day? Waimanalo at 1:30 on Saturdays
Agility is a sport for dogs and owners that has taken off through our nation. It is an excellent time to train and have fun with your dog. During these classes you will train your dog to run through an obstacle course. Your dog will learn to jump over jumps, race through tunnels, balance on teeter-totters, and more! Agility For Fun is a progressive class. You will be able to take this class and your advancement as far as you desire.
Dog must have graduated from our Basic Obedience class or have approval from another trainer. Please note — we work together as a team to set up and take down equipment.
